Use of Waste as a Source of Bioenergy & Biomass

Some organic waste can be used to produce biofuels and bioenergy. We do have experts in the renewable energy sector, specialized in biomass and biofuels. AGS-Engineering also has experience in evaluating the impacts of regulations and government policy on bioenergy businesses. Our subject experts have extensive experience in evaluating markets for biofuels and new bio-based products. Studies include historic, current and projections for future national and international market demand and pricing for biofuels and co-products. In such studies, our team members have determined the impact the proposed biofuels plant construction and operations would have on the regional and state economy.

Biofuels Feasibility Studies and Projects: Ethanol feedstocks studied include: sugar beets, grain sorghum, sweet sorghum, barley, wheat, potato waste, agricultural residues, fruit processing waste, municipal solid waste

Biodiesel/HDRD (Hydrotreated Renewable Diesel): Feasibility studies were conducted. Our renewable energy team is experienced in biodiesel production technologies. Feedstocks for biodiesel studied include: soybeans, palm oil, corn oil, canola mustard seeds, rapeseeds fats, oils, grease, various waste feedstocks, algae

Biomass: Conversion of lignocellulosic biomass to fuels. Our biofuels experts have performed numerous cellulosic ethanol feasibility and risk assessment studies considering various feedstocks as well as different technologies. From feedstock collection and composition to fermentation and thermal operating parameters, our biofuels team has indepth understanding of the entire operations involved in biomass utilization.
